OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Outdoor activities encourage deeper breathing, which relaxes the muscles and gives the body the oxygen that you need. An outdoor workout is just the thing for a good feeling of rejuvenation.
When air molecules comes in contact with sunlight, radiation, and moving air and water, these tiny electrically charged particles have been found to generate feelings of alertness, mental clarity and elevated mood. Naturally occurring negative ions are found in the mountains, near the ocean surf and in the clean air after a thundershower.
Depending on how adventurous you are, outdoor activities can be a simple walk on a nature trail, biking on a mountain-trail loop, hiking in the mountains,
camping,
or boating. Even a calming run on a nature trail can help a stressful day.
Just spend some time in some type of nature surroundings.
The rushing sound of a waterfall is so relaxing. Whether you are around one at winter, when it's surrounded by a snowy landscape, or on a nice sunny day, make sure you take the time to enjoy the soothing effects and sounds.
Spend some time at the ocean on the beach. Listen to the gentle sound of waves lapping onto rocks and sweeping across sandy beaches with a nice gentle breeze.
Going outside is immediately rejuvenating and is inspiring to us so much it calms us. Time in nature is a breath of fresh air for anyone. Just step outside and there it is.
