Relaxation Poems

Meditation

By Gil Saenz

A description of how it feels in a meditative state.

Moments of peace have more meaning.
Times of stillness give us a gleaning.
A glimpse of fullness,
And the colors of feelings.
Blue, green and gold thoughts gently streaming
Without any effort for you to hold.
Conscious of everything and of nothing
At the same time.

More and more learning about the other side
Of yourself and of being;
A gentle flowing of all your senses
Which are sensing your foreverness
For a little while.

Relaxation

by Jill Eisnaugle

A poem about the beauty of nature, God's gifts, and our ability to enjoy life, if we stop to appreciate our surroundings.

Come sit outside, this summer’s day
Relax amid the gleam
Formed by each vibrant sun-filled ray
Resting upon the stream
Breathe softly to embrace the calm
And peacefulness around
While thankful that within your palm
You hold God’s love, abound.

Come take a stroll, among the pines
Lining the dusty trail
See all that nature’s joy defines
In eye-catching detail
Smile for the birds, flying in pairs
And those who live alone
While knowing that nothing compares
To the glory you’ve been shown.

Come rest upon the fertile plain
Beneath the rainbow’s light
And know that every drop of rain
Reveals a blessed sight
For in the clearing, lies a place
Where relaxation thrives
Infused by God’s almighty grace
To dwell throughout our lives.

The Ocean is a Star

By Terrell Baxter

The waves of the ocean ripple efficiently
synchronized with the breeze of the atmosphere
The tide rushes over another relentlessly
but the crystal clear water is still sincere

The spatious skies contain the deepest blue
The desolate horizon remains steady
aligned with a background so fascinating

The viewers eyes begin dilating
as the oceans mist smells of romance
The frantic waters sway back as they dance
under the suns scrutiny it shines
leading with the current, leaving the shallow behind

The reflection caught is the essence of life
but nothing compared to the sunset lights
It flows in unison with the sand
dominating and pushing as it reprimands
Colossal is its power near the midnight bar
spectacular is its appearance as its empowered

The ocean is serene, the oceans relieves
it contains oxygen in a place we cannot breath
The surface is peaceful even when green
it seeks to redeem, its motion is preen
We are fixated on it in portraits
no different than star in orbit
